The Dower Family

We have been a bit busy around here. As the "month of holidays"* seems to be just around the corner, I figured I had best do something about a winter line for Mini Mayhem. Cut to Ollie and I (and our lovely generous friends Cosmo and Kate), a very big studio lighting set up and my visions for our autumn winter 2013. The photos went well, the design work got done and the line sheet was set to lots of hopefully interested shops. Fingers crossed a few of them like what we do. Once that was done we headed off to the coast to relax with Nanna Freddy, Poppy Mick, Aunty Alicia and Uncle Guy. Naturally it rained the whole time but that didn't stop us from having a lovely time. In fact I think Ollie and Guy playing indoor hide and seek may be on Ol's good time list!! We ate lots of frozen yoghurt, some wicked milkshakes and did a bit of scooter ing when the sun occasionally came out. It was awesome. Last week marked the beginning of Ol's kindy journey.   We have been looking forward to this for so long.  I remember when he was but a few months old putting his name down for kindy at thinking that 2013 sounded so terribly far away.  But here we are.  And Ol couldn't have been happier. He had his new kindy hat, his kindy sheets and a new spiderman lunchbox and he was all ready to roll. But just to make this transition even a little more stressful, I decided that the exact same day would be the one that Eve started at daycare.  Madness I know! But we have found a lovely family daycare mum on the street behind us who happens to look after some friend's kids (one of whom is a little girl about the same age) and she had a spot on one of Ol's days at kindy.  Perfect.  A proper work day for me and a good chance for Evie Peevey to spend some time away from me.
