This week Ollie and I had a special visitor all the way from Cloncurry - our friend Jesse. Jesse came to play at Camp Ollie for a few hours while his mum had some very well deserved shopping time. Ollie and Jesse played lots of fun games like cups and Jesse was very helpful to me during the afternoon.
Another exciting event this week was Nick and my third wedding anniversary. To celebrate we went to the lovely E'cco restaurant on Saturday night, thanks to Aunty Em who stayed over at our place to look after Ollie. Thankfully Ollie was on his best behaviour, as opposed to some of the other nights recently that have seen me popping into his room a number of times in the early hours of the morning.
Ollie got to see his Aunty Em again the next day when we went over to the McNaughton/Dower home to celebrate Aunty Hayley's birthday and to catch up with Uncle Luke. Hayley cooked the wonderful family birthday tradition of Flat Meat (hard to describe but kind of like a thinner schnitzel but way yummier) - Ollie went to sleep before dinner so is yet to sample this delight, so I made sure I had his share.
Speaking of food, Ollie had his first vegemite sandwich this week. He is quite a big fan as you can see from the photo.
The last pic I've included is an example of what I mentioned in last week's blog about how Ollie gets onto his tummy in his cot now. I heard him jabbering away to himself in there and snuck my head around the corner to see him ripping his gloves off (so he doesn't scratch himself) and punting them over the edge of the cot. He also thought it was hilarious that I took a photo of him doing it. He seems to have worked out that he can sleep on his tummy now so hopefully I won't keep getting summoned in there to flip him over.
No pics of this but Ollie squeezed himself into his Geelong Cats onsie and took his Cats football along to mother's group just in case it was the last time this season that he was able to wear that outfit. Thankfully the Cats thumped the Pies and will be in the Grand Final so Ollie can wear his outfit a few more times and Nanna Freddy and Poppy Mick can cheer them on from the MCG! GO CATS!!
