Commerce

It has been a week of commerce around here.  I normally keep away from the shops for obvious reasons but I really wanted to pick up a magnetic toy to go on the fridge to keep Eve entertained instead of having her try to eat anything else near the fridge.   We found that toy but we also found another.   A hard plastic case to go on iphones etc to make them baby proof.  I couldn't resist it as we had a couple of old iphones kicking around so now we have a readymade Ollie/Eve distraction device when we go out and about (no signal enabled so it is innocuous). But I will really need to make it such that they are only allowed to play with it if we are out somewhere though as Ol is very keen on it.  He gave me a glimpse into the future the other day when he walked in after a day at daycare, grabbed it and lay down on the couch on his tummy and started playing games.  I took it straight off him of course. Here is Eve actually getting a play with it.  This is rare as her brothe

Seaworld

Two blogs in one week? Madness. But we took an impromptu trip to seaworld today and I just had to share. We have those fabbo VIP passes so today cost us nothing, nada, zip, zero, well except for a little bit of petrol. It was great but super exhausting taking them both on my own. Thankfully they were both very well behaved and even crashed out nicely in the car on the way home. Now if only I could have a little snooze of my own...

Daddy's day

I promised I'd give you a peek at our daddy's day around here.  I tried to do a little photo shoot of the kid's feet that spelt out "we love (heart) daddy".  Unfortunately Eve wasn't having a bar of that posy kind of stuff.  In the end this photo of O's feet was the best I could get. This ended up as the cover of a card we made up.  Inside was a gorgeous drawing that Ol had done of Nick as well as the answers to some questions I had asked him about his daddy.  I especially love that Nick's favourite colours and food just happen to be the same as Ollie's! The kiddos are really starting to play nicely together (except when they don't - because sometimes they really don't!!!).  Evie is especially loving lego (well, duplo) and is often found standing at the lego table trying to connect blocks or destroying already made buildings.  Hence Saturday morning lego has made a real comeback around here with the three of them often huddled

A trip to the post office

Another busy week. This time with lots of trips to the post office to send heaps of shirts out. Thanks to a bit of exposure Mini Mayhem has managed to make half as much in the past six weeks as we did in the first year. Very exciting. But it has meant lots of post office visits. Thankfully we make a lovely trip out of it in the pram and stop at one of The local parks. Today it was the boat park. And the beach. Super fun. Enjoy! (oh, I haven't forgotten father's day photos. I'll get around to it. Hope everyone had a nice day).
