I'm not sure if it is because she is nearly six months old or because she has started eating real food lately but Miss Evie honestly appears to have doubled in size in the last week. Some mornings when I get her out of her cot I swear that I can see she has grown since the night before. I think it is probably due to the amount of food she is consuming. After stuffing around with one mere taster of a meal for almost two weeks I realised I had to up it to two and finally three meals each day. She still hasn't had as much variety as Ollie had by this point but I'm also busier. She is enjoying natural yoghurt, pears, carrots, bananas and a variety of different baby cereals. This morning she even tried weet-bix. Not a huge success but I'll persevere because Ollie won't eat them and it would be great if she did.
Evie has been a bit of a handful this week with sleep thanks to her ability to roll onto her tummy but inability (or lack of desire) to roll back. Basically she finds herself stuck on her tummy and screams out until I go and roll her back over. I remember this phase with Ollie and thankfully it is relatively short-lived before they figure it all out. But until then it seems I am destined to have six or so wake ups during the night to sort it out for her. Couple that with toilet trips or bad dreams from Ollie and I feel like I'm back in the newborn fog again. I'm definitely aiming for a nap today to try and recover from the lack of sleep.
Oh yes, Ollie was around this week. It is often all about him so it is only fair that Eve gets her share of the limelight. Ol has had some great moments this week, like the spontaneous 'I love you' I received but also some low lows, like the total freak out he had last night after eating cupcakes at daycare in the afternoon. Poor little bugger. Hardly any dinner was consumed and there was hysteria at the prospect of showering but eventually we got him to shake it off and he crashed out pretty quickly, albeit without getting any stories read to him.

I mentioned last week some of the gorgeous outfits that Pa & Nanna Kaye brought back from NY. Here is another one of them being modelled by Eve. She just looks seriously gorgeous in them.
And a little something to get you through the week. This is Evie's theme song. Don't ask me why but this is the song we have been singing to her since she was teeny tiny. We often get a whole family sing song going on with Ollie joining in for the "wayo!". It may possibly be the worst song of all time but it sure makes our little girl smile and pump her arms up and down with excitement. Go on check it out, you know you want to...
