Check out this beautiful little family!! Finally a photo with all of us in it.
We were lucky enough to get some family photos taken on the weekend by a lady I came across who is building up her portfolio (read: free photos!!). This one is really the only posy posy one - the rest were just candid ones of us all being silly buggers on the beach. I will be getting my hands on all of them at some point but in the meantime this one can tide us over. Pity Ollie looks like a little urchin. By this point we had been running all over the beach and Ol was fairly drenched too. Oh well, at least it is a true likeness of him!
We've had some lovely activities this week. The first was a wonderful family get together (sans Luke, Fiona & Alex) to celebrate Grandpa Rob coming home for a visit. Rob was certainly impressed with all the growing that Evie & Ol have done since he saw them last in November.
And while Ollie was thrilled to spend some time with his Grandpa, he was still a second best to Uncle Simon. Ol just loves him so super much. It is truly gorgeous to watch - I just wish I had a photo of them both hanging out in Ollie's new tiny circus tent. Too cute.
Another fabulous activity was an easter egg hunt at a friend's house with a bunch of the other kids we go to playgroup (and the library, and coffee, and the park) with. This was such a lovely thing to do and their backyard was perfect, with meandering paths, lots of garden beds to hide eggs in, a big playground fort and some shady spots for the babies to sit on blankets in.
Ol may have jumped the gun on the hunt as was seen stuffing his little face with chocolate before all the kids arrived. But the hunt proper was a roaring success and enough sugar was consumed to get the kids through easter craft activities, general tearing around and some good old fashioned nudey runs through the sprinkler and paddling pool.
It was a truly such a lovely day and we are so lucky to have found such a lovely local posse of like-minded mums and kids.
Apologies for the super short blog but I am a tad on the knackered side. It seems that every night I am down here on the computer lately. Usually Mini Mayhem related stuff. But I shouldn't complain. It is great to be busy and this week we received the very exciting news that a new online kids store will be stocking our shirts. First wholesale order. Yay!!!! Now off to bed...
